Infrared Sauna ATR-1 XL - Premium therapy cabin with deep heat for one person

The premium therapy cabin ATR - 1 XL is the larger sister cabin of the Infrared Sauna ATR - 1. It offers more legroom and a higher interior, making it more suitable for people over 180 cm tall. The increased headroom (190 cm standing height) and the larger door (clear height 176 cm) allow for more comfortable entry.

SOLIS^® Deep Heat Radiators (4G)

The Infrared Sauna ATR - 1 XL uses the highly developed SOLIS^® 4th generation deep heat infrared radiators. These are ceramic-magnesium oxide rod heaters with white sand filling, which enable intensive and homogeneous IR-B and IR-C radiation.

In the ATR-1 XL, the intensive SOLIS^® deep heat radiators with 350 watts of power each are also used for the first time in the shoulder and front area to warm the entire body with the same deep effect. In the foot and calf area, the CarboSens^® surface heaters are used, which warm the foot and calf area with pleasant IR-C radiation.

Deep heat where it's needed

When developing the ATR - 1 XL, we paid special attention to the heater arrangement. In cooperation with physiotherapists and thanks to our many years of experience, the position and angle of the infrared heaters have been perfected.

The SOLIS^® spinal heater is tilted back by 13° degrees. This relieves the vertebral bodies and effectively increases the radiation from the lowest lumbar vertebra to the neck. The side deep heat radiators, which are also tilted by 13° degrees, warm the sinuses, side of the neck, both shoulders, elbows, and hips with great efficiency, thus increasing the benefit of the deep effect on these problem areas.
To better irradiate the upper body and knees, the front deep heat radiator was also turned towards the body.

Excursus: For a long time, infrared sauna manufacturers limited themselves to what appeared to be arbitrarily arranged infrared heaters in the cabin. True to the motto: The main thing is that it gets warm.

ATROPA was the first manufacturer to recognize more than 15 years ago that while infrared heat is generally effective, targeted deep heat can achieve much more. In collaboration with experts, the first deep heat cabins were created, in which the entire spinal area could be irradiated without interruption.

Gradually, inclined spinal heaters, front heaters positioned towards the body, and side heaters following the body's contours for the neck, shoulder, elbow, and hip were introduced.

Flexible, ergonomic backrest

The comfortable, flexible, and ergonomically shaped Abachi backrests are of course also tilted backwards in the ATROPA Infrared Sauna ATR - 1 XL, which allows for a very pleasant and relaxed posture. The spine and the associated musculature are thereby relieved, and the therapeutic effect is improved. Without disruptive influences (such as wooden rungs), uninterrupted spinal radiation is guaranteed, and all the infrared heat can penetrate the skin unhindered. The flexible brackets adapt the backrest to the body's shape, the double-S shape of the spine is maintained, and it is additionally relieved.

Intensity control

Another development was the precise intensity control, which can be adjusted in 1% steps in the Infrared Sauna ATR - 1 XL. This gives you an even more precise setting option.

Example: Are the infrared heaters too intense for you? Then simply reduce the intensity of the infrared heaters. The full deep heat effect is retained down to about 50%, below that the application corresponds to that of a bio sauna.

Example: You have finished a therapy session, but would like to sweat a little longer in the infrared sauna and detoxify? Then you can simply reduce the intensity and keep the strain on the skin and circulation as low as possible.

2-zone control

The deep heat radiators in the ATR - 1 XL can be individually adapted to your needs thanks to the 2-zone intensity control. You have the option of controlling the spinal deep heat radiator completely separately from the side and front radiators. Since the back radiator is slightly closer to the body than the other infrared radiators, this function is very popular here.

Example: You have back problems but want to keep the circulatory load as low as possible? Then you can operate the deep heat radiator at a high intensity and reduce the other infrared radiators to a pleasant, gentle level. The therapeutic effect remains maximal.

All heaters can be switched off separately

In the ATR - 1 XL, as with all ATROPA Infrared Saunas, it is possible to switch each individual infrared heater on or off separately. Consequently, you have the option of adapting the infrared radiation exactly to your needs. With this simple function, you have a variety of application possibilities. But the immediate benefit can also be increased at the touch of a button.

Example: You cannot tolerate high temperatures and want to start a low-temperature application for your back?
Then switch off the shoulder heaters and the front heater at the touch of a button. In this case, the air temperature rises only very slowly, the full deep heat effect is retained, and back pain can be effectively relieved.

Automatic program control

The Premium Infrared Sauna ATR - 1 XL, like the ATS series, is equipped with an automatic program control. This function allows the user an even more relaxed sauna experience by automatically changing the intensities of the individual infrared heaters depending on the time. There are four programs available here (Therapy, Detox, Refresh, and Soft-Infrared). Of course, you can also adjust the intensities of the back and other heaters during the program according to your own wishes and needs.

Example: You notice during a therapy program that the back heater is too intense. You can easily reduce the intensity of the back heater for the program via the intensity control. The system saves the adjustments and adjusts accordingly when the program's intensity changes automatically.

MyFamily^® memory function

Another innovative function of the model ATR - 1 XL is the MyFamily^® memory function. There are four MyFamily memory slots available for this. If you have found your favorite settings, you can save them with a single keystroke and quickly recall them next time. With this function, the intensities of the infrared heaters, the light options, the desired maximum temperature, and the application duration are saved.

Example: At the beginning of each session, you want to achieve a high therapeutic effect for 15 minutes (Back: 95% intensity, Neck/Shoulder/Hip: 80%), at a maximum of 45°C and with green colored light. One press of a button is enough, and your previously saved favorite values are loaded.

Other equipment (optional)

To increase well-being, we have installed the new 2nd generation LED color light therapy in the ATR - 1 XL. With it, you have the option to choose between 6 different colors and also to dim them. The optional automatic color change mode changes the colors at the time you have chosen.

The aromatherapy releases high-quality essential oils into the room. This creates a pleasant atmosphere and releases new energy.

The new AtroSound^® music system of the ATR - 1 XL plays your favorite music with two high-quality Pioneer speakers. The music system has USB, Bluetooth, as well as AUX.

To avoid sitting directly on the solid wood bench, we offer our new AtroSoft^® Premium seat cushions made of viscoelastic foam with a high-quality and durable artificial leather cover in the wellness package.

So that you can lean back even more relaxed, there is the height-adjustable headrest. Your neck muscles are thus even better relieved and supported.

In the ATR - 1 XL you will also find the new LaStone^® foot massage stones. These wonderfully pleasant obsidians contribute to relaxation via the reflex zones on the soles of the feet. They are attached to a removable wooden grate, so they can be easily removed without tools. The washable linoleum floor underneath can be cleaned easily and hygienically.

To round off the wellness experience in the ATR - 1 XL, the Wellness Package offers a comprehensive accessory package, which includes the most frequently used accessories at a special price.
